The Onehouse Model Railway
|
This page has been included to identify those shops that we have made purchases from and would
therefore recommend others to use. This list will include shops that we have personally visited;
those we have dealt with via Mail Order or those we have met and traded with at Exhibitions. Onehouse doesn't run to many model shops and hence we have to travel or pick up the telephone. So far five companies we have had dealings with:
|
Mackays Models - Glasgow, Scotland. We saw there web site whilst searching for DCC Model Railway information and found out that they are the Sole UK distributor for the Lenz DCC System. They advertised a book on their site - DIGITAL COMMAND CONTROL by Stan Ames, Rutger Friberg and Ed Loizeaux. We contacted them by email and found them very helpful and knowledgable on the subject of DCC. They also accepted a telphone order with a credit card and the goods arrived within 48 hours. Excellent service. Take a look at their website for yourself by following the web site link.

John Dutfield - Model Railway Retailer. We found these guys at the Stowmarket Model Railway Exhibition in the Spring of '99. The following saturday we drove to their shop in Chelmsford. Not a large emporium by any stretch of the imagination but what they lack in shop size, they make up for in enthusiasm and help for modellers. We will be going back in the future. These guys also offer mail order and deal in second hand models. If you would also like to contact them or visit the shop, here are the details:
Wards Yard, 133 Springfield Park Road, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 6EE
|
Model Junction of Bury St Edmunds.
A small retail outlet hiding in the backstreets of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Caters for most modelling hobbies: Railways, Aeroplanes, Trucks, Cars etc.
Staff are always willing to chat and very helpful.

Patronics - Colour Light Signals
This company appears to be a cottage industry that caters to both
OO Guage and N Guage in the colour light signalling department.
Here are a few photos we have taken of a couple of the signals in situ.
The white blobs under the plates are White Tack to hold them in place
temporarily while we took the photos. Hence the slight lean to the uprights.
They can be contacted at
